White Wing and Mourning Dove are the two common species of Dove attracted during the seasons each year due to two reasons: 1. the constant warm climate, and 2. enormously abundant/vast rich agricultural fields of grains, corn, barley and crop varieties of lushly covered acres of farmland. In effect this extends the wingshooter’s  bird hunting by about  5 additional months beyond most U.S. seasons. Fast winged dove activity of 2 distinct seasons starts south of Texas in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas from Aug. thru Oct. followed by the second season from Nov. thru Feb. within the states of Sonora and Sinaloa  westward along the Pacific coastline. Birdhunters arrive at the fields with their guides/bird boys supplied with a large inventory of shells for their hot-barreling shotgun action for shooting of huge dove flocks for a daily early morning and evenings sessions.
